Four suicides in only two weeks have rattled the administration of the bunker complex in which the few survivors of the climate catastrophe are trying to keep the future alive. Critical skillsets might be lost, if more cases should occur. Eric, a somewhat solitary scientist, is tasked with investigating the deaths' circumstances. Everything seems straightforward, at first. But then, he discovers an incongruity that keeps bothering him. What connects the cases? How many people have actually died? Why does the administration show so little interest in pursuing the matter further? Eric privately continues to investigate, aided by his young and rather pert assistant. Their situation is turning increasingly perilous, while they are less and less certain about who they can trust.
