In the mid-seventies of the last century, the walls of Orgosolo began to come alive with evocative images in the form of mural paintings, expressing a feeling of struggle for social justice. Today those murals represent a journey into memory that excites like a hymn to resistance and hope. The text in three languages and the many photographs in this volume illustrate the historical and social aspects of muralism in Orgosolo, from its origins to today's works that compete with other forms of expression such as Street Art.
